Skilled labor shortages, cost pressure, and high demands on weld seams – if you want to stay competitive in sheet metal processing, you have to constantly put your processes to the test. That is exactly why open exchange among experts is so important today.

Welding technology meets reach: Influencers visit the ITC
Welding professionals are under constant pressure to meet ever-increasing quality requirements while also seeking workplaces that ensure safety and provide air that is as free of welding fumes as possible. Cobots, laser processes and fume extraction systems offer valuable support here: greater efficiency, more stable processes and cleaner air.
But do they really deliver what brochures and websites promise?
The Robot Queen at ABICOR BINZEL: driving innovation in welding automation
ABICOR BINZEL welcomed Vanessa Loiola – widely known as »The Robot Queen« on LinkedIn and various other social media channels – to our headquarters in Germany in November 2025 for an inspiring day dedicated to robotics, welding innovation and creative content production. This collaboration highlights how important it is for ABICOR BINZEL to develop practical and user-oriented products that make the everyday work of welding professionals noticeably easier.
The new command center for clean air: xFUME® COMMANDER
During welding fumes and fine dust are produced that can have a lasting impact not only on the health of welders but also on everyone working in the same production area. It is therefore even more important to extract these particles directly where they are generated – at the arc. This is achieved with an xFUME® extraction torch, while the xFUME® COMMANDER efficiently and reliably filters the captured fumes – whether at manual welding workstations, in use with cobots, or on fully automated welding systems.
First ABICOR GROUP Customer Days
This year, the major trade fair SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen took place without the companies of IBG Industrie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft and thus also without ABICOR BINZEL, Thermacut, and other members of the ABICOR GROUP. Since many professionals and enthusiasts from around the world interested in welding and cutting technology were already in Germany, we used the opportunity to invite them to our ABICOR GROUP headquarters in Buseck. Here, the member companies ABICOR BINZEL, ASTARAS, HERR Industry System, Photonic Tools, Thermacut, and WELDSTONE presented their areas of expertise, offering visitors a hands-on experience.
The best TIG electrode – but even better: E3® PRO
When it comes to TIG welding, the quality of the tungsten electrode is what makes the difference between a good weld seam and a perfect one. Anyone who has experienced an unstable arc or poor ignition knows how it can disrupt the process. That's why absolute process reliability is so important. For years, the E3® from ABICOR BINZEL represented exactly that. But now it has real competition: the E3® PRO.
Outlook 2025: ABICOR BINZEL combines tradition and innovation
The industry is currently facing major challenges: Economic uncertainties, a growing shortage of skilled workers, and increasing demands for sustainability and digitalization are putting pressure on companies worldwide. ABICOR BINZEL will continue to follow the trends in welding technology in the new year. On the other hand, the focus will clearly be on manual welding torches and consumables – because this is what partners, dealers and users expect.
Pioneering welding technology: ABICOR BINZEL inspires the next generation
Working in a company while studying is a great thing. Being able to spend a day in another company that has a different focus or operates in a completely different sector or industry is ideal for individual development. At the end of the year, about 40 students from the "Staatliche Fachschule für Maschinenbautechnik" (state technical school for mechanical engineering) FS MB and the "Städtische Fachschule für Elektrotechnik" (city technical school for electrical engineering) FS ET in Aschaffenburg gained an insight into the world of welding – and were impressed by the ABICOR BINZEL Innovation and Technology Center ITC and the products that the company offers.
Customer Days at ABICOR BINZEL: Strong partnerships and back to the roots
The manufacturing industry has been facing great challenges for some time now: Several prolonged global crises have led to a decline in orders, and companies see their situation as worse than at the beginning of the year. Our distributors are also experiencing declining sales. This is why it's all the more important for us to face these difficult times together. Therefore, the two Customer Days held at our headquarters in Buseck in September were all about partnership and how we can focus more on our core business while taking into account demographic and technological developments.
