Everyone at ABICOR BINZEL has worked hard this year. However, this additional effort cannot be taken for granted. A big thank you!
Production volume doubled and employees relieved
Those who are lucky enough to have qualified welders in their company should nevertheless think about automating welding processes, because it is always a question of relieving the workload and the targeted use of welders, where robots have their limits. An increase in volume that simply cannot be handled by the existing team of manual welders could be another starting point. This is what happened at Sächsische Bewehrungsstahl (SBS), one of the largest manufacturers of structural steel in Germany.
Our ABICOR BINZEL-ducks for the good cause
On November 10th, our three ABICOR BINZEL ducks took part in the 12th Giessen Duck Race organized by Giessen’s Lions Club "Justus von Liebig". This year, the event took place virtually to meet the current corona restrictions. But this did not lower the excitement. At this special event we could win a fantastic 3rd place with our BINZEL ducks.
However, the decision to participate was not based on the idea of competition. The entry fee for the company ducks is largely donated to a good cause. This year, the donations are going to the aftercare team of "StartKlar" in Giessen. StartKlar offers families help during the hospital stay of their premature or high-risk newborn or chronically ill child. Together with the families, StartKlar plans the necessary measures for a safe start into family life and provides advice and support during the first time in the home environment.
It is nice to know that we can support this great organization in our region and we would like to thank the Lions Club Giessen for this initiative.
Robot welding cell for an easy start into robot welding
Professionally qualified welders are hard to find, production has to cut down on costs and the quantities to be manufactured are skyrocketing. Small and medium-sized manufacturing companies that previously only employed manual welders are no longer questioning whether they should invest in automation, but rather how they can get started.

In ABICOR BINZEL's own bee colony, activity is now back in full swing. With spring, the new annual cycle of the busy bees begins.
